Police Uniform Patches 1954 - Present

This patch was introduced in 1954, when the department consisted of only two officers.   Prior to that, there was no patch.	Added the town seal in 1963. The 5 stars represent the 5 communities we serve.
Added the duck motif in 1971.	Improved the lettering in 1976.
Blue on a darker blue in 1982 proved to be unreadable.	Changed to yellow lettering in 1987.
Changed to gold lettering in 1992, when Passaic Township changed its name to Long Hill Township.	Limited Edition patch commissioned in 1999 to celebrate the Department's 75th Anniversary.
This is a generic cloth badge sewn onto our Training / Traffic shirts.	Changed the background to black and updated the center logo in 2014.
Updated new patch 01/20/2021 per special memorandum 21-SO-001
